A message from the Headteacher

Dear Parents and Visitors,

On behalf of the governors, staff and pupils I would like to welcome you to Rainford CE School.

Our website aims to give you an insight into all that we do and will hopefully allow you to discover key aspects of our school. It provides us with a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the life and achievements of our children as well as the chance to communicate vital information regularly and effectively.

Located in Rainford, our wonderful Church of England primary school, that is part of Liverpool Diocesan Schools Trust, is happy and vibrant school where children come first. We have a highly motivated and committed team of staff and governors who ensure that every child is nurtured and supported on their very own aspirational learning journey.

From Sunbeams through to Year 6 we strive for success and aim to develop a love for lifelong learning. We take a rounded approach to our children’s education and work tirelessly on equipping them with core skills in reading, writing, spoken language and maths. Our talented staff use their expertise and experience to extend the opportunities for our children both in the classrooms and in a wide range of extra-curricular clubs, visits and activities. Our classrooms are vibrant and welcoming, full of creativity and learning, making Rainford CE a special place indeed for all children.

Our children are at the heart of everything we do and we are extremely proud of all their achievements. Teaching and learning are of a high standard, ensuring that all children succeed. We aim to provide a safe, loving and caring learning environment where the whole school community lives out our Christian values of joy, peace, friendship, forgiveness, perseverance, justice and, above all, love which permeates throughout our school.

We intend to prepare our children socially, spiritually and academically, so that when they leave us, they have a lifelong love of learning, are prepared for the next step in their learning journey and take our school values into the wider world.

I am excited about the journey ahead and the wonderful opportunities we have to shape the future of our children together. I endevour to working collaboratively with the community to ensure the success and well-being of every child at our school.

If you would like to know more about our school, you are very welcome to come and visit us. Thank you for taking the time to look at our website

Best wishes

Emma Shawcross
