Class 5 - Hinduism in RE

Lesson: Religious education

Class: Year 1 and 2 Year: 2020 - 2021

Class 5 Have been learning about Hinduism in RE. Today they had an ‘experiential’ lesson.  They were learning about being in the Temple (The Mandir). Mrs Leeming lit incense, played Hindu music and the children had Kum Kum powder on their hands. They then created some art based on a chosen god. Lots of the class chose Shiva and picked colours to represent that god. The art work also showed symbols associated with that god such as a lotus flowers, a trident or a conch shell.
